Hi, we’re Formstack and we’re honored to be recognized as one of Inc. magazine’s Best Workplaces of 2020!

Formstack company culture

The first few months of 2020 have flown by, and they haven’t been easy. Workplaces have gone suddenly remote, important business objectives have been canceled, and many companies have been forced into incredibly trying times. While our flexible work environment was more prepared for the uncertainty brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re very proud to be recognized for our unique company culture maintained through the hard work of our employees and their passion for our product and one another.

I have had the pleasure of working at Formstack for more than three years and while I am extremely passionate about the product and the enormous growth we’ve had, none of it would be possible without the people. Everyone is purposeful about being who they really are and not being afraid to share that with their fellow Formstackers. - Justin Flynn, Talent Management Lead at Formstack

Now in its fifth year, Inc.’s Best Workplaces surveyed a record 370,000 employees from 2,500 different companies, recognizing only the top companies for their vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits. With an overall score of 93.61 (out of 100), Formstack did exceptionally well in employee engagement with 91% of our employees marked as “highly engaged” and 0% as “disengaged”—a number we’re truly proud of.

"I love working at Formstack because I can bring my entire self to work. We unite as one cohesive team that cares about our customers, product, and people, which makes it a fantastic work environment. We work hard and play hard, which provides us with a great work-life balance and a big focus on relationship building across the organization. I'm surrounded by people who are passionate, driven, and truly care about their coworkers." - Lindsay McGuire, Content Manager

We also scored high in access to learning and development opportunities, which is something we place a great deal of focus on as our company has vastly grown over the past two years. With 16 hours a year of learning and development training available to employees., they’re able to learn new skills, expand their knowledge, and focus on how they want to grow with Formstack.

One other benefit that has really helped our employees is switching to an unlimited paid time off model. This encourages mental health breaks and allows our employees to take the time off they need to recharge as needed. This has paid dividends in creating a healthy, happy, and productive workforce.

”I’ve been working at Formstack since 2018, and in my time here it’s easy to see why it’s a great place to work. From weekly notes of encouragement sent by the CEO to daily talks with peers, Formstack embodies its goal of helping each of its employees succeed.” – Benjamin Matthews, Lead Engineer for Formstack Documents

At Formstack we live and breathe our core values, which is what really makes this recognition such an honor. We care about each other, our product, and our customers, and to put it plainly, it feels really good for that to be known on such a large scale. We’ve developed a unique culture that thrives on transparency, communication, and fun, and we’re proud of it!

"Formstack is such a great place to work because of the people within it. A lot of companies have silos where only those within that silo help each other out or hang outside of work. Here, we are all working towards a common goal and we are invested in each other’s lives. I’ve made friends here that I will have for the rest of my life which is rare to have at a workplace." - - Andy Baumgartner, Commercial Sales Team Manager

We’d like to thank Inc. for the opportunity to be recognized and congratulate all the other workplaces that made the list. We are in very good company!
